Josh's 32nd Birthday

Yesterday was Josh's 32nd birthday! Josh went golfing early with his dad, and ended up shooting his best game ever. He shot a 79, and was very excited. While he was golfing the kids made him cards. We then decided to go shopping for presents, and because our shopping options were limited here in Lake LA, we went shopping at the local dollar store. It was cute, the kids were so excited to pick out his presents. He ended up getting 3 wiffle balls, Laker markers, a lead pencil and lead, a milky way, butterscotches, pixy sticks and the wonderful kiddie mix. Brayden picked out spaghetti for dinner and we made a cake. Although it wasn't all that elaborate it was a wonderful day!

Loving the backyard!

So today we had John come and grade our backyard. It was in desperate need with all the weeds out there. He brings his tractor and works his magic! Now we don't have to worry about the awful stickers getting stuck in our feet and shoes. We love our yard and how big it looks now!

The First Day of School

So the first day of school seemed to come very soon this year, Aug. 10. McKenna is started fourth grade and Brayden started 2nd grade. They were very excited to start back up! This was my first year in 3 years that I wasn't teaching, but I enjoyed being able to be mom for once on the first day!

Snow did come

You know it's been awhile since I last posted and I noticed that I asked for one day of snow, well it happened alright. We actually had the districts first snow day in 30 years. It was amazing how much snow we got! My kids made their first snow man and loved it. I don't know that this will happen again for a long time. Notice the gloves?

Can I do this?

Okay, I am new to this whole blog thing, but I am going to give it a shot. I have been married for going on 9 years this December. I married Josh Briggs in the Salt Lake Temple. We have been blessed with 4 beautiful children: McKenna 8, Brayden 6, Tanner 4, and Jase 2. We are currently living in Lake Los Angeles, California. We have been here for almost 8 years. I am teaching 3rd grade and loving it. Things are great, we are just hoping for a little bit of snow (just one day would be great).
